AusIndex is operated by Brandon Cutajar. It is a separate Australian business directory with common ownership of Demandify, Loanseekers and Carseekers. Related businesses are labelled in the directory. AusIndex keeps its submission and request records separate from those businesses.

What we collect and why

A business submission records the business name, website, category, city or suburb, state, service area, description, services and an optional business logo. We also record a private contact email, consent, submission time and review status so we can assess and manage the listing. Directory profiles may also use business information from the public sources shown on a profile.

A correction, removal or privacy request records your email, the relevant profile link if provided, request type, message, consent, submission time and handling status. We use these details to review and handle your request. Please do not send identity documents, financial information or home addresses. These details are not needed by the form.

What becomes public

Only reviewed and approved business information becomes visible at its scheduled release time. Submission emails, request messages and unpublished submissions are excluded from public pages, public data and the sitemap. We do not request street addresses, and public descriptions and logos are reviewed for address privacy before approval.

Storage, access and service providers

Vercel hosts AusIndex, and the directory uses its own MongoDB Atlas database, including uploaded logos. Logos are resized for display and their embedded image metadata is removed. The private owner dashboard requires a configured owner login. Our hosting and database providers process information to operate and secure these services. Their infrastructure and support operations may involve processing outside Australia. We do not sell your contact details or add them to another business’s mailing list.

Hosting providers may process technical request information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website. AusIndex stores a short-lived hashed identifier to limit repeated form requests and login attempts. An owner session uses a secure sign-in cookie that expires after eight hours. These controls support security and abuse prevention. We do not use advertising trackers or send automated marketing messages.

Retention

Business listings and submissions are kept while needed to operate and review the directory. You can request access, correction or removal below. Private correction and privacy requests expire 180 days after submission and are then automatically removed by the database’s expiry process. Marking a request resolved does not extend that period.

Form rate-limit records expire at the end of their one-hour window; login rate-limit records expire after their 15-minute window. The database removes expired records automatically, which can occur shortly after the expiry time. Infrastructure providers apply their own operational log and backup retention arrangements.

Corrections, removal and privacy requests

Use this private form to correct or remove a listing, request access to your information, or raise a privacy concern. Include the business name and explain how you are connected to it. The owner reviews requests in the AusIndex dashboard and may need to verify your authority before changing a listing or providing information. Save the reference shown after submission for any follow-up request.
